TAVI as an alternative to invasive AVR1
Patients with aortic stenosis often suffer from several co-morbidities, from which renal insufficiency is a prominent one. These patients are denied surgery and may undergo a minimally invasive replacement of the aortic valve, known as trans-catheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
