Aortic Valve Model
Clinical Findings
Aortic root dimensions were automatically calculated using the Esie valve software. Esie valve software allows measuring the aortic root dimensions for each phase of the cardiac cycle. This can be done as a totally automated step in few seconds or in a semi-automated fashion. This can create a real time static or dynamic model of the aortic valve and aortic root at the bedside. This proved to be of benefit during aortic valve surgeries and transcatheter interventions. The information gathered helped the heart team take better decisions for treating the patient, limiting the use of ionic contrast.
Investigations
The patient underwent transesophageal echocardiography with the ACUSON SC2000 ultrasound machine using the 3D enabled Z6M probe. The patient underwent transesophageal echocardiography with the ACUSON SC2000 ultrasound machine using the 3D enabled Z6M probe.
Clinical Findings
• Severe calcific aortic stenosis
• Large aortic annular dimensions
• Adequate coronary height
• Sizable Sinuses of valsalva and sinotubular junction
