A Value Partnership centered on comprehensive cancer care
In 2019, the Philippines has enacted the Republic Act No. 11215, also known as the National Integrated Cancer Control Act (NICCA) to strengthen cancer control in the country, increase cancer survivorship, and reduce burden on families and cancer patients. The passing of NICCA paved the way for the private sector to establish cancer specialty facilities in support of the program.
Mr. Fabrice Leguet, Managing Director and Head of Siemens Healthineers, Southeast Asia, adds, “This landmark partnership with Healthway Cancer Care Hospital is our very first Value Partnership focused on comprehensive cancer care in the Philippines. With the combined strengths of Siemens Healthineers companies including Varian, we are very proud to enable AC Health to fulfill its ambition to make high quality cancer care more accessible to patients in the Philippines. We are doing this through accelerating the transfer of knowledge in oncology management across clinical, technical and managerial fields and by providing integrated innovative technologies across the continuum of cancer care. ”
As HCCH develops the first specialty cancer care facility, Siemens Healthineers will support them with the integration of the most suitable diagnostic and therapy systems focused on comprehensive cancer care, from medical imaging to image guided surgery and intervention as well as radiation therapy.
