In this session organised by Parkway Radiology and Siemens Healthineers, we have the opportunity to hear from Dr Wayne Lemish about the advancements in breast imaging and diagnostic procedures using the 50 degree Wide-Angle technology on Siemens Healthineers' MAMMOMAT Revelation.
The focus is on Breast Tomosynthesis, a revolutionary imaging technique that provides a three-dimensional view of the breast. Clinically proven, the unique 50° Wide-Angle Tomosynthesis enables more accurate and earlier detection of breast cancer by providing the highest depth resolution and mass detectability.
While tomosynthesis provides higher accuracy than 2D mammography, it also yields considerably more images, and reading time increases. The talk further explores the intricacies of reading and interpreting tomosynthesis images for enhanced breast examination by the likes of Consultant Radiologist, Dr Victor Teng, and his counterparts at Parkway Radiology. Breast Tomosynthesis service is one of the advanced technology offered by Parkway Radiology amongst its comprehensive range of services and is available at Gleneagles Hospital.
Furthermore, for tissue separation in DBT and for targeting in Tomo Biopsy, a high depth resolution is key. The integration of a 50-degree wide-angle technology will be discussed, highlighting its significance in improving the precision and accuracy of breast biopsies.
