What was your key driving force to become a Customer Success Manager?
I’ve always been a people’s person. Working as a technician limited me to mostly talking to PCs, Servers, and Modalities. The CSM role was just perfect fit for me to do what I love while being myself; a mix of people interaction and technical aptitude.
Tell us a little about your background?
I am a family man, born and raised in rural KZN. I am a self admitted extrovert with a real love for people and good conversation.
Professionally, I hold a National Diploma in ICT. Most of my knowledge is QBE (Qualify By Experience) but I feel a wind of change. I know what I want to study to expand my skillset and I aim to achieve this in the upcoming year.
Can you describe/outline your typical day?
My day starts with my family as I share the responsibilities with my wife. Once my morning ritual with the family is done, my days are mostly ‘to-do-list’ driven. I draw up a priority list (high-low) and steadily work my way through this. While following up on our customer priorities, I also consult, innovate, and design new Digital Health Solutions.
How do you define success?
Achieving pre-set mutual and realistic goals. Can you see the goal driven personality coming out?
What motivates you?
Being able to sleep at night knowing that I made a difference in the world. Having a positive impact on even a single person is important to me.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Knowing that I work for a company that has a direct impact that saves human lives.
