A 62-year-old male patient with severe symptomatic low-flow, low-gradient aortic stenosis was scheduled for transcatheter aortic valve replacement. A coronary CT angiography was performed prior to the procedure, using an ultra-high resolution scan mode due to the patient’s high coronary calcium load.

A previous diagnosis of “congenital heart disease” in her childhood was reported, however no details could be provided. A chest CT with contrast was requested for further evaluation.

A 53-year-old male patient visited a cardiologist after receiving a positive test for Marfan’s disease. He was asymptomatic, had an unremarkable medical history and had been doing a daily 45-minute walk as a training routine. He was tested as a search for the carrier gene after his daughter had a positive genetic test.

A 41-year-old female patient, suffering from intermittent hemoptysis over the past 5 days, was admitted to the hospital. She had had a history of pulmonary tuberculosis, which had been cured 3 years ago. At admission, she reported neither coughing, fever, chest pain nor syncope. A chest CT angiography was requested to assess the cause for her hemoptysis.

A 40-year-old male patient, suffering from intense right flank pain, came to the emergency department. He reported neither hematuria nor any other symptoms. A serum creatinine test revealed a normal level of 0.79 mg/dL. His medical history was unremarkable. Urolithiasis was suspected and a TwinBeam Dual Energy CT was performed for further assessment.

A 56-year-old female patient, with a history of refractory hypertension, suffered from an acute subarachnoid hemorrhage and was admitted to the emergency department.
