When we founded the Siemens Healthineers Academy in 2016, our ambition was to offer a new quality of diagnostic courses. We have created a nationally unique, long-term educational programme - a programme you have never seen before. It was created for doctors, laboratory diagnosticians, medical physicists and electroradiology technicians who want to consistently improve their knowledge.

The comprehensive educational programme of the Siemens Healthineers Academy covers all key areas: angiography, laboratory diagnostics, mammography, molecular imaging, radiography, MRI, syngo.via system, CT, and ultrasound imaging. The scope of the courses is constantly updated and corresponds to the latest trends and technologies used in diagnostics. We listen carefully to the needs of our trainees and take them into account when working on new training proposals. Credit points are awarded for participation in the courses. 

We have already invited almost 200 lecturers from various fields, both from Poland and from other countries, to work with us as part of the Siemens Healthineers Academy. Our partners have experience of working in renowned Polish and international institutions and have the most up-to-date knowledge in the field of diagnostics. To the Academy they bring not only many years of experience in their specialities, but also - most importantly - the ability to share it with others.

We actively cooperate with the Medical University of Warsaw, as we are keen to ensure that students gain knowledge in the best possible conditions. We have reached an agreement with the University authorities that part of the radiology and nuclear medicine classes are held at the Siemens Healthineers Academy. This gives future medical professionals access to state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies and allows them to gain knowledge with the top-quality equipment. 

Since 2016, more than 24 000 people have attended more than 200 courses organised as part of the Siemens Healthineers Academy. Such great popularity of our offer is a source of pride for us, as is the positive experience of our course participants. The average course rating is 4.8/5 - we perceive it as a great commitment and a source of motivation to continuously improve our programme proposals.

Knowledge in the area of medical diagnostics cannot be reliably transferred without top-quality medical equipment. That is why the establishment of the Siemens Healthineers Academy was accompanied by the launch of a modern training centre in Warsaw. During the courses, we make use of extremely extensive facilities in the form of medical projectors, diagnostic stations, medical monitors and ultrasound machines. During the classes, participants use the latest version of the syngo.via software. We use simulators, cadavers and augmented reality tools, too. Our training centre is also equipped with advanced equipment for high quality online broadcasting in 4K quality. We tested it during the period of pandemic - we successfully delivered almost 100 webinars and online meetings.

Some courses require a hospital environment and an operating theatre. With this in mind, we have invited selected medical facilities from which real-time coverage of procedures and examinations is carried out. Thanks to state-of-the-art transmission equipment, course participants feel as if they are right next to the treatment team. Experienced experts explain the details of the procedure being carried out to the trainees on an ongoing basis and answer their questions.
