Siemens Healthineers attended a signing ceremony to extend our strategic partnership with Stroke International Services (S.I.S) Hospital, Can Tho City, in the Mekong Delta.
Held in conjunction with the Stroke International School at SIS Hospital, the partnership extension between Siemens Healthineers and S.I.S is geared towards bolstering their expansion goals, with plans to establish two hospitals and five satellite centers over the next five years. The signing ceremony also saw S.I.S begin its journey of becoming Siemens Healthineers' Global Training and Fellowship Center.
“This is a major milestone for us and marks a big step in bringing stroke care to the Mekong Delta area. The combination of S.I.S’s vision and expertise as well as the innovations provided by Siemens Healthineers will together advance the healthcare system in Vietnam.”
The extension focuses on several strategic criteria that support S.I.S on advancing its stroke care journey, which include:
- Expanding access to stroke and cardiac care in the Mekong region, and providing access to the most modern technology.
- Educating providers and specialists to improve patient outcomes, bringing local, regional, and international experts to train Vietnamese healthcare professionals.
- Establishing a comprehensive cancer center in Ho Chi Minh City.
