  • SOMATOM X.cite improves patient comfort with an 82 cm gantry and innovative system design
  • Workflow-oriented CT scanner with the support of artificial intelligence (AI) that improves both user and patient experience

Siemens Healthineers has officially introduced the SOMATOM X.cite in Vietnam at the 23rd Annual Scientific Congress of the Vietnamese Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, which was held on the 19th and 20th of August 2022 in Hanoi.

Ms Rami Politis, Head of Computed Tomography, Siemens Healthineers Southeast Asia stated at the conference: “At Siemens Healthineers, we are driving the digital transformation of radiology through constant innovation of our devices. SOMATOM X.cite and myExam Companion are a big step for our imaging portfolio along this plan into the world of intelligent user support and for Siemens Healthineers on our way to becoming a leader in clinical decision support. We believe this product will contribute greatly to the development of healthcare system in Vietnam."

The SOMATOM X.cite is equipped with the latest innovation and technology from Siemens Healthineers, allowing users to leverage the untapped potential of Computed Tomography. myExam Companion, among other technologies, can be described as the helpful supporter for technicians during even time-critical procedures, such as emergencies and interventions. Utilizing the power of digitalizing healthcare as well as the AI-based platform, myExam Companion turns data into built-in expertise, thus guides operators through any CT scan procedure and allowing them to interact easily and naturally with both patient and technology. It contributes to consistent, comprehensive results regardless of the user, patient, or throughput.

SOMATOM X.cite is a patient-centric design that focuses on patient experiences. The system has an 82 cm gantry, which is ideal for any procedure, especially those involving obese patients, trauma, orthopedics, or interventional procedures. The high-end Vectron-x-ray tube and the Stellar Infinity Detector form a combination of technologies for clinical imaging that is unique in this segment. The tube voltage can be set between 70 kV to 150 kV in 10 kV increments, which enables even more individual adaptation to the patient’s anatomy.
