Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has committed to a renewed 12-year Value Partnership with Siemens Healthineers. Born as the first radiology Managed Equipment Services (MES) contract of its kind over 20 years ago, the partnership has evolved following successful provision, maintenance and replacement of key radiology assets. Supporting the trust in providing high-quality, personalised care, the strategic approach ultimately enables healthier communities2. The renewal will provide value-add services including a bespoke workforce development programme (WDP) and clinical service optimisation programme (CSOP).

The decision to renew the partnership as the previous MES came to an end underscores a close working relationship between Airedale and Siemens Healthineers. Continued dedicated management of 35 key radiology assets ensures access to the latest technology and supports Airedale in providing patient-centred care for a population of over 200,000 covering 700 square miles across Yorkshire and Lancashire1

Workforce development and clinical service optimisation programmes will help to address workflow and resource constraints, ensuring support for clinical and patient care needs while responding to the ever-changing demands of the NHS. The WDP includes a range of training, education and hands-on learning experiences designed to support recruitment, retention and development of staff. The CSOP will support continuous improvement, innovation and development, focusing on areas the trust identifies as key priorities and aligning with Airedale’s strategic objectives2.

“We at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to embark on a third decade of partnership with Siemens Healthineers,” states Rebecca Friar, Deputy COO and Divisional Operations Director for Surgery and Diagnostics at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. “Over the past 20-years, we’ve laid a strong foundation together. This renewed commitment is deeply rooted in trust and underscores our unwavering commitment to both our patients and staff. Our evolving journey together will ensure that our patients, who are at the heart of everything we do, continue to receive the highest possible standard of patient care.”

“Building on over 20-years of close collaboration with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, this renewal underlines our shared understanding and mutual commitment to delivering improved patient care,” states Andy Wilks, Head of Enterprise Services at Siemens Healthineers Great Britain & Ireland. “With a continued focus on the management of equipment now further enhanced with clinical service optimisation, bespoke workforce development and potential facility design solutions, this collaboration paves the way for high-quality, personalised care across Yorkshire and Lancashire."
