EMIT II Plus 6-Acetylmorphine AssayDirectly screen for heroin use

The presence of the heroin metabolite 6-acetylmorphine (6-AM) in urine specifically confirms the use of heroin. The EMIT® II Plus 6-Acetylmorphine Assay is intended for the qualitative and semiquantitative determination of 6-acetylmorphine in human urine at a cutoff level of 10 ng/mL. The SAMHSA initial test cutoff level is 10 ng/mL.

The EMIT® II Plus 6-Acetylmorphine Assay accurately detects heroin use without cross-reactivity to morphine, morphine metabolites, and many common analgesics. Siemens Healthineers offers a convenient and effective way to selectively test for heroin use and enables your laboratory to adjust to changing testing requirements.

The EMIT II Plus 6-Acetylmorphine Assay provides:

  • High specificity for 6-acetylmorphine (6-AM)
  • No cross-reactivity to morphine, morphine metabolites, and common analgesics
  • Low analytical sensitivity of 1.1 ng/mL
  • >99% agreement with the reference method (GC/MS)

 

Applications are available for the Viva-Jr®, Viva-E®, Viva-ProE®, V-Twin® Drug Testing Systems; AU® Series analyzers; ADVIA® 1200, ADVIA 1650, ADVIA 1800, and ADVIA 2400 Clinical Chemistry Systems; Dimension® Integrated Chemistry Systems; and Dimension Vista® Intelligent Lab Systems.
