EMIT II Plus Methaqualone AssayDetect methaqualone, methaqualone metabolites, and mecloqualone
Features & Benefits
Methaqualone is a sedative-hypnotic drug that is usually taken orally. This was once a prescribed treatment for insomnia and anxiety and is now a highly addictive and Schedule I controlled illegal substance. The EMIT II Plus Methaqualone Assay detects methaqualone and methaqualone metabolites, and also the pharmaceutically similar drug mecloqualone.
The EMIT II Plus Methaqualone Assay provides:
- Good specificity for methaqualone and metabolites
- Excellent precision—all within-lab (total) CVs ≤0.7% or less across the assay range
- Ready-to-use liquid reagents, calibrators, and controls
- 98% correlation to reference method (GC/MS)
Applications are available for the Viva-Jr®, Viva-E®, Viva-ProE®, V-Twin® drug testing systems; AU® Series analyzers; Dimension® Integrated Chemistry Systems; and Dimension Vista® Intelligent Lab Systems.
