Siemens Healthineers von Willebrand Antigen Assay

Siemens Healthineers von Willebrand Antigen Assay

Take VWF diagnostics to the next level using the highly innovative, sensitive and precise initial von Willebrand disease testing panel from Siemens Healthineers.

The VWF Ag assay is an immunoturbidimetric assay for the quantitative, WHO-standardized determination of von Willebrand factor (VWF) antigen concentration. Designed as an aid used in the evaluation of patients with suspected or confirmed von Willebrand factor disorders. VWF Ag is a robust assay designed for trouble-free performance available on automated mid- and high-volume analyzers.

Clinical Use

Von Willebrand Disease Algorithm

Getting to a diagnosis of von Willebrand disease is a complex process and can require several medical visits and laboratory assessments. Usually, the patient’s clinical history, bleeding symptoms and the results of certain laboratory tests need to be evaluated. For the evaluation of von Willebrand disease, VWF activity assays can be combined with VWF antigen assays to detect and distinguish between quantitative and qualitative VWF deficiencies.1 Make VWD testing available in-house, increase efficiency and improve patient outcomes with the Siemens Healthineers initial VWD testing portfolio!
