Breast Multi-Parametric Ultrasound

Dr. Panagiotis Kapetas, Medical University Vienna, Austria

Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer among women in most countries. It is increasing particularly in developing countries where the majority of cases are diagnosed in late stages.

Combining ultrasound (US) and mammography addresses the need for detection and characterization of Breast lesions by providing comprehensive clinical information.

Two case studies are presented here to highlight the benefits of the use of high-resolution Ultrasound B-mode imaging combined with 2D Shear Wave technology (2DSWE) to analyze breast lesions.
