Value for money
Our projects are cost-effective, generate cost savings for providers, payers, and patients, and maximize economic, financial, and societal benefits. Read our white papers to learn more about the broad range of benefits we help provide for our customers, especially those who are seeking to maximize the overall value generated from public-private partnerships.
Value for people
Patients are our top priority. We create healing environments in hospitals— the kind of thoughtful, human-centric facility design that can make a positive impact on care quality as well as patient and staff experience.
Siemens Healthineers offers a comprehensive curriculum that addresses both physicians and technologists. These courses, fellowships, and training programs deepen knowledge to increase staff satisfaction and confidence.

Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
As a global company with strong values and commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Siemens Healthineers recognizes public private partnerships in the healthcare sector as an instrument to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 3. “Health and Well-being”.
Access to affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare is a key task for national governments. In the context of the global pandemic, tightening public budgets and a growing demand for healthcare services, PPPs provide an opportunity for innovative and collaborative service delivery. Therefore, many governments are turning to PPPs in times of high need to innovate for better delivery of public healthcare and are employing PPPs as a way of introducing private sector technologies and innovations.
What are PPPs?
PPPs describe various contractual arrangements where the public and private partners share rights and responsibilities during the length of the contract with the purpose of construction, expansion, improvement, development of public health services, and/or infrastructure. In PPPs, partners contribute know-how, financial resources, facilities and other inputs required for the successful delivery of a product or service. The private partner is compensated in accordance with a pre-agreed plan.
Medtech PPPs
PPPs involving the supply of medtech are very common and cover the provision of medical equipment, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), laboratory equipment, operating theaters, and related services for maintenance, refreshments, operation management, optimization of workflows, and facility planning, to mention a few. The share of the medical equipment and related services in hospital’s budget is increasing and the medtech component is becoming an essential and increasingly important component of any PPP project.
