      We are removing chemicals of concern and reformulating products.

      We are focused on eliminating identified substances of very high concern (SVHC) from our products used extensively in the IVD industry and which should be replaced by a less dangerous substance where technically and economically feasible alternatives are available

      • Triton: 4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol, ethoxylated (aka OPE or Triton), we target a reduction by 72% by the end of  2025 (from 2020 levels)
      • PFAS: Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, we and our suppliers are removing PFAS from products and raw materials.
      • In addition, we are voluntarily implementing plans in R&D and manufacturing to remove other harmful chemicals from key reagents and consumables
      • Elimination of toluene, and benzene from organic synthesis of acridinium esters used in our immunoassays
