In this case study from the Klinik Engeried, Lindenhofgruppe, Bern, Switzerland, a SPECT/CT scan was ordered for a 56-year-old woman who presented with pain and instability in her knee two years after total knee arthroplasty following an inconclusive CT. Image reconstruction using xSPECT Bone showed sharp definition of skeletal hypermetabolism, supporting the diagnosis and earlier treatment of tendinitis and ruling out a post-surgical stress on the joint.
