Siemens Healthineers processes the contact information you provide, such as your first and last name, e-mail address or telephone number, as well as information you provide in a support request, in order to respond to and clarify your contact or request.

The processing of your personal data is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), the performance of a contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) or on our legitimate business interests in answering your inquiry (Art. 6 para 1 lit. f GDPR).

Online Services

On our websites you can register for various Siemens Healthineers Online Services by providing your personal data, for example to access technical documents of our products or to exchange information in user forums.

The processing of your personal data is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), the performance of a contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) or on our legitimate business interests as the provider of online services (Art. 6 para 1 lit. f GDPR).

Processing of personal data related to your business relationship with Siemens Healthineers

In the context of a business relationship with Siemens Healthineers, we process personal data of contact persons at customers, suppliers, sales partners, and partners ("business partners"). Moreover, we will collect your personal data if you fill in one of the form available on the Advanced Accelerator Applications Molecular Imaging Website to: report to us an adverse drug reaction related to the use of one of our products; ask us for medical information; report to us a complaint or concern related to the quality of one of our marketed products; or have questions regarding availability, ordering, handling, or reimbursement of one of our marketed products.

In the aforementioned events, we collect and use the following categories of personal data: information about individuals reporting adverse events or making medical information queries or product quality complaints, including healthcare professionals and careers. This allows us to respond to such queries and seek additional information if required. The data we collect may include your name, email and/or postal address, phone number, and place of work; patient details, including minimized names, hospital record numbers, age or birthyear, sex, weight, height, race, whether pregnant and/or breastfeeding, and occupational data (where this is strictly necessary for the evaluation of the adverse event); and where strictly necessary and relevant for the purposes described in this privacy policy, patient health and lifestyle information, including but not limited to nature of adverse effects, examination results, personal or family medical history, diseases or associated events, risk factors, information about the use of medicines and therapy management, physical exercise, diet and eating behavior, sexual life/contraception, and consumption of tobacco, alcohol and drugs.(hereinafter, jointly referred to as “Report Data”). Report Data may include so-called special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 GDPR that are subject to an increased level of data protection, like for example health data or race.

The processing of Report Data is materially based on our legal or regulatory obligations under applicable pharmacovigilance requirements (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and, additionally, on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), among others, to monitor and improve the safety of our medical products, responding to medical information queries, responding to quality complaints and answering other questions or requests. In a few cases, we may also ask you to consent to the processing of certain Report Data. In these cases, the processing is based on such consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

To the extent the processing of Report Data includes special categories of personal data, such as health data, the processing is based on Article 9(2)(g). In particular, the processing of special categories of personal data is necessary for complying with our obligations under EU legislation relating to pharmacovigilance as required under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 implementing the body of EU law governing medicinal products. It is also necessary for reasons of substantial public interest in ensuring the safety of medicines.

Siemens Healthineers also offers a variety of applications that you can download to your mobile device ("Mobile Apps"). Some of these have their own privacy notice. These privacy notices can be viewed on the App Store prior to downloading the Mobile App and in the Mobile App itself.

Under the GDPR, you have specific rights in relation to your personal data. In particular, and subject to the statutory requirements, you may be entitled to:
